Valentine's Masquerade Dance

Get ready for an evening of creativity, connection, and fun at the Valentine’s Masquerade Dance! Join us virtually from the comfort of your home or in person at the Bowen Park Auditorium in Nanaimo, BC. Bring your own mask or create one at our crafting station, and enjoy music, dancing, and activities for families, kids, and adults of all abilities.

What is it?

Join us as we dance the night away in the comfort of your own home! Party alongside others while watching them with audio and video of those who choose to have their cameras on. Watch and Join in Epic dance battles, join in trivia, sing-alongs and other shenanigans that happen every night.

Lead by Neil Cutler, Community Support Worker and Board Member for the local Association for Community Living. He has been running Community Dances for people with diversabilities since 2006 in the city of Nanaimo, BC, Canada. Now these dances have turned virtual. With all his experience you can be rest assured that the dances are a safe and monitored space for everyone to meet, have fun and connect with others.

What should I expect with this?

These dances are completely open to anyone. Join via Zoom, and you will enter it with your microphone and your camera turned off and will be able to hear and see the music and other people who have chosen to turn on their microphones + cameras. There is no pressure to turn yours on, but it certainly adds to the party if your comfortable.
